Plants & Nursery Know-How:
At Root One, we pride ourselves on the depth of our plant knowledge but whilst we do not pretend to know it all we will always try to help you as best we can.

With our well stocked plant area we offer year-round many different plants including alpines, herbs, ferns and grasses, David Austin Roses, Fruit Trees, Palms, Citrus, Olives, Succulents, Cacti & Houseplants.  We also carry seasonal Bedding Plants, Hanging Baskets & ready-planted seasonal arrangements.  We grow a proportion of our plants on site and any we don’t are from excellent quality nurseries.

Seasonal Plants....

October – Spiraea x bumalda 'Goldflame' – This shrub is well known for its stunning colour through-out the seasons and its strength against the British weather! During spring 'Goldflame's' new foliage is crimson-red which fades to yellow and green. Then through-out summer clusters of stunning small pink flowers appear. Once cooler temperatures arrive in the autumn (now) the foliage turns fiery bronze before finally falling. In 10 years 'Goldflame' will reach 70cm x 50cms.

Autumn & Spring Bulbs – A large selection of Autumn and Spring Bulbs are now in. We have Cyclamen and some Crocus bulbs ready to be planted now for autumn/early winter flowers. Many different mixed and single variety extra value packs such as 18 mixed Dwarf Tulips for £2.99 or 30 Narcissus Multi-head for £2.99. Why not plant them with some pansies?

We have an ever-increasing range of quality plants and a huge line of sundries to cater for most gardening situations. Stock is constantly changing with the seasons so we apologise that we are unable to list everything here. We do also offer a plant finding service, so if we haven't got a plant that you are particularly looking for, just ask and we will do our best to source it for you.
